The moment a client completes payment is just the beginning. They're excited to receive their photos, and you want them to have a seamless experience. Here's how Proof & Purchase handles the critical handoff from sale to delivery.

Immediate Access, Controlled Distribution

Within seconds of payment confirmation, clients receive:

1. On-screen confirmation with a download button
2. Email receipt with a unique download link
3. Access to their purchase from the gallery

No waiting for manual delivery. No back-and-forth emails. Instant gratification for your client, zero effort for you.

The Download Link System

Every download link is unique and cryptographically signed. This means:

One-Time Token Generation

Each purchase generates a fresh token. Even if a client purchases the same photos twice (unlikely, but possible), they get different download links each time.

Time-Limited Access

Download links expire after 30 days by default. This creates urgency for clients to save their files while preventing links from being shared months later.

Access Logging

We track when links are accessed and from where. If you ever need to verify that a client received their files, the data is there.

Download Options

Clients can retrieve their purchases in multiple ways:

Individual Downloads

Perfect for clients who only want specific images on their phone or want to share one photo immediately. Each image downloads as a full-resolution file with the original filename.

ZIP Archive

For larger purchases, we generate a ZIP file containing all images. The archive is created on-demand and streams directly to the client—we don't store ZIP files that could be accessed later.

Re-Download Capability

Within the 30-day window, clients can download as many times as needed. Phone died mid-download? Just click the link again.

File Integrity

Every file delivered matches exactly what you uploaded:

• Original resolution preserved
• Color profile unchanged
• Metadata intact (except GPS data if you enabled stripping)
• Filename preserved for your organizational system

We don't recompress, resize, or modify your images. What you uploaded is what they download.

1. Album-titled landing page displaying the gallery name
2. Clear purchase summary showing what they bought

On mobile, files save to the camera roll or downloads folder depending on the device. On desktop, standard browser download behavior applies.

Edge Cases We Handle

Payment Disputes

If a client disputes a charge, their download access is automatically suspended pending resolution. This protects you from delivering files for contested payments.

Expired Links

Clients who wait too long see a friendly message explaining that their link expired, with instructions to contact you for assistance. You can generate a fresh link if appropriate.

Failed Downloads

If a download fails mid-transfer, clients can simply try again. Our servers are built for reliability, but internet connections aren't always cooperative.
